Quite possibly the world’s happiest dog hangout. (Or so we hear from equally happy pup parents.)
Taking our cues from owners Barbara Roth and Al Baumgartner, we’ve created an exceptionally caring, joy-filled place where dogs have the freedom to play, rest and interact with other pups at their own pace – so you won’t find any kennels or rigid schedule in place. We stay close and watch ‘em zip around ’til their ears flap back (if they’ve got those kinds of ears) – and we make sure they’re fed and loved and kept safe while they play. A Puptown dog is a blissfully happy, thoroughly-exhausted-by-the-end-of-the-day dog.

Freedom to run around,
plus care and attention galore.
Schedule a day to come see why Puptown ranks way at the tippy-top of local dogs’ list of Favorite Places To Go. (We know dogs don’t make “favorite” lists, but if they did, we’d be up there). We group our pups with others who have similar play styles, and keep a watchful eye to make sure they’re all in a good groove and loving every minute of their time here.
Feeding, medications, bathtime and Orientation/Welcome Back Days.
To make sure your dog gets the right food on the right schedule, please bring it along, clearly marked with your dog’s name, the amount for each meal (in cups), and number of meals each day. We recommend including a little extra in case all the activity over here leaves your dog more ravenous than usual, and so we have enough if there’s a delay in your pick-up plans.
Please also include any medications your dog may need, in the original packaging from the vet with clear dosage instructions.
Dogs joining us for 5 or more consecutive nights will get a free bath, so you’ll have a seriously nice-smelling pooch ready for you at pickup.
Before you commit to any Boarding or Playcare dates, we do a free Orientation to give dogs the chance to check the place out, meet our staffers and decide for themselves if the group setting is a good fit for their personality.
Welcome Back Days work the same way, but they’re for dogs who haven’t joined us recently. For comfort and safety reasons, we require a full day of play prior to your Boarding reservation if your dog has not joined us for Playcare or overnight Boarding within 2 months of the reservation arrival date during peak boarding times (holidays and school breaks), or within 6 months during non-peak boarding times.
Why? It helps ensure us (both!) that your dog is still comfortable in the group setting over here. Plus, it gives our staff the chance to get reacquainted with your dog. It also reassures dogs that they will be picked up, so they don’t feel anxious when you drop them off for their actual boarding days.
Standard full-day Playcare charges apply for Welcome Back Days.

We’re staffed 24/7/365 with caring, pup-obsessed humans who make our dogs their A#1 tip-top priority when they’re here.
We go all out. Overnight accommodations include the works:
Your pup can join in on all the Playcare fun and activities, and count on extra hugs and attention before getting tucked in for the night.
Our special slumber party rooms are equipped with top-of-the-line dog beds and ultra-cozy fleece blankets, and our temperature-controlled environment keeps pups comfy so they get a solid night of z’s.

Grooming rates:
Dogs obviously come in all sizes and fur-types, so prices vary a bit. When you call, we can give you an estimate for the services you’re requesting. Then when you come in, our groomer will meet your dog, assess the condition of the coat and chat through what you’d like to have done. At that point, we can give you final pricing. We take copious notes, so for your next appointment, we can reference previous visits since we’ve got a starting point. That said, you can always switch things up if you’re feeling inspired.

Which vaccinations we require and why.
In our effort to provide a safe environment for all dogs, we ask that all dogs visiting for Playcare or Boarding have current Rabies, Distemper (DHPP) and Bordetella vaccines. All vaccines need to be administered at least 7 days BEFORE your dog’s first visit to Puptown. For Grooming-only appointments, we just require a current rabies vaccine.
How our complimentary Orientation works.
It’s important to know your pup will be happy here in our kennel-free, open-play environment. So before you register for a Playcare or Boarding visit, we ask that you sign up for one of our free Orientation days.
Orientation days are available by reservation only, Monday through Saturday, beginning at 9:30, 10:00 and 10:30am. You can schedule by calling (763) 478-0203.
A few things to note: Pups over 1 year of age must be spayed or neutered. Dogs must have toenails acceptable for play in a group setting. And you must bring along proof that all required vaccinations (see vaccine section above) are current. We’ll also ask for your completed and signed Registration and Release forms when you check in.
Book a Welcome Back Day prior to Boarding if it’s been a while since your pup was here.
Standard full-day Playcare charges apply for the Welcome Back Day.
Details on food and medications.
Your pup’s schedule will include feeding and administration of any medications needed. Food can be dry, wet/canned, refrigerated or frozen. Please label the food with your dog’s name, the amount for each meal (in cups), and number of meals each day. We recommend including a little extra in case all the activity over here leaves your dog more ravenous than usual, and so we have enough if there’s a delay in your pick-up plans. Don’t worry about measuring scoops or bowls. We’ve got all that covered, and we sanitize everything between feedings.
Please also include any medications your dog may need, in the original packaging from the vet with clear dosage instructions. We will store and administer both oral and injectable medications as directed.
Hope to see you soon!
